A microscopic sea creature was design modified and deconstructed into 3 layers to represent the industrialization and mutations of even tiny sea creatures due to human effects on the environment. Stainless steel nuts and bolts are the scaffolding that holds the mutated layers together. Inspired by a drawing by naturalist Ernst Haeckel in 1862.
