The microscopic radiolarian was enlarged into a gigantic version to be large enough to catch human attention. The creature was design modified and deconstructed into 3 layers to represent the mutative effects of industrialization on tiny sea creatures. Stainless steel nuts and bolts are the scaffolding that holds the mutated layers together.
