Recycled sterling silver, stainless steel
Electrolytically etched, hand formed
6 cm diameter x 0.6 cm
 
Created as a silver version of a mutation in giant clamshells due to acidification. The top layer was based on the drawing of the microscopic sea creature “Spongocyclia Cycloides, Haeckel” in Ernst Haeckel’s radiolarian drawings from 1862.
